Wingfield Digby London was founded by Alice Wingfield Digby. The business started by hand making original lampshades using feather and ribbon trimmings, with the aim to produce unique, beautiful shades for the same price as buying a standard shade from the high street. The business has subsequently expanded, and now offers a striking range of interior furnishings as well as gifts and accessories that are all inspired by nature. You can buy our products online, or catch us at a gift fair near you in London or one of the many country shows across the UK.
Where possible Wingfield Digby designs and manufactures the high quality handmade products from manufacturers in the UK, however some of our more exotic creations have to come from further afield. At Wingfield Digby, quality is paramount. All our hide and feather creations are a by product of the meat industry, and we ensure the highest standard in terms of both the finished product, and the welfare of all people and animals involved .
We also offer a number of bespoke items, from lampshades to handbags and hipflasks. Recent commissions include a pair of 14” lamp shade with a trimming of wild European turkey feathers and a 16” pheasant feather lampshade for the Beretta gun shop on St. James Street in Mayfair, London.
