To honour the start of the grouse season on 12th August, acclaimed Rabbit Restaurant in Chelsea (part of the family-run Gladwin Brothers Restaurants), is teaming up with The London Shooting Club and Wingfield Digby. Why? To present an evening of the freshest and first grouse in the capital this season.
Due to the sheer distance of many shoots from London, it is rare for grouse to arrive in London restaurants on 12th August itself - meaning guests who dine at Rabbit are in for a real treat this Glorious Twelfth.
The London Shooting Club will bring the first grouse of the season down from the Yorkshire moors on Saturday 12th August and straight into Rabbit’s kitchen - just in time to serve diners a delicious dinner of roast grouse. This will be suitably served with candied beetroot, smoked onion petals, blackcurrant and armagnac game sauce. All guests dining that evening will be given an exclusive 20% off all Wingfield Digby country sports-inspired gifts.
If you're unable to make it to Rabbit on the twelfth, fear not. Head chef Oliver Gladwin will soon be serving this glorious game dish across all Gladwin Brothers restaurants (The Shed - Notting Hill, Rabbit - Chelsea, and Nutbourne - Battersea).
